SoundIQ
SoundIQ is a project to collect, map and present nearshore data from the Northwest Straits region online, using an easy-to-access, Internet-based platform. The goal is to have all Clallam MRC field collected data displayed on SoundIQ. As Clallam County MRC and other regional MRCs aim to do the same, data are becoming increasingly accessible on this platform.
The platform may take a couple minutes to load - this is typical.
In August 2020 the Clallam MRC, in partnership with NWSC, hosted a webinar about SoundIQ. NWSC’s GIS Specialist Suzanne Shull demonstrated how to access the environmental data on SoundIQ. She explained how it can be used to support regulation of nearshore development and Shoreline Master Plan updates for an audience of planners and engineers from Clallam County, City of Sequim, and City of Port Angeles, Clallam County Commissioner, and MRC members.
